Graduation - Friday, July 10 @ 9:00 AM, HEB Center

On Friday, Leander ISD announced that Leander HS will be having our graduation.  The intent is to push out graduation in hopes of having a full ceremony that you deserve.  There are backup plans in place so that you can still walk the stage with a limited number of tickets or with just your parents.  A final decision will be made by June 19th and in guidance from local, state, and national public health experts.

Decorating Caps

Yes, it is true.  Leander ISD is allowing caps to be decorated this year.  We are excited to make this happen and want to do all we can to follow guidelines so that this tradition can continue for years to come.  Use this link for the 2020 Cap Decorating Rules.

Cap and Gown Orders

Orders that were not picked up on the 30th were taken back to the Herff Jones office for safe keeping.

If you still need to place your order, there is still time.  Please visit  If you have questions about ordering or receiving your items, please call Heff Jones directly at 512-243-7901 or email  Business hours are typically Monday-Friday from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. For students that need financial assistance to help with their caps and gowns, email to obtain a scholarship form.

Path to Assessment and Graduation 2020

As students and parents look toward the close of the 2019–20 school year in late May, we want to provide information related to course credit, graduation requirements, state assessment and summer school. Please visit our support site for complete information by grade level. Questions may be directed to your teacher and/or counselor.

Grades and Finals

There will be no finals this year, however, passing all your classes is critically important right now.  If you are not connected with each of your teachers, you could be in danger of not passing or graduating.  We know that these are tough times, but please be sure to communicate weekly with each of your teachers.  All coursework, including Credit Recovery, must be completed for students to be eligible for graduation. Senior Incompletes change to Failing on transcripts July 24th.

Student Items at LHS, Laptops, Textbooks, & Library Books

Seniors will be able to pick up items that they left at LHS in lockers, Athletics, Fine Arts, CTE, etc., as well as return laptops, textbooks and library books. This will happen for seniors on Thursday, May 21st from 9 am - 12pm.  Be on the lookout for an email with specific information.

As in years past, we will work with seniors who are completing last-minute work for graduation. If you need to keep your laptop to prepare for AP Exams or to finish school work, you will be able to drop off your laptop on Wednesday, May 27th from 9 am - 12 pm.  If you need the laptop later for school work, email

Diploma Distribution

Leander ISD high schools are working on a plan to distribute diplomas in early June since graduation won’t be held until July.  Seniors in good standing will receive their diplomas.  Good standing means that hours owed are completed, all graduation requirements have been met, computers/books/equipment have been turned in, and all outstanding dues have been paid.

Report Scholarships Offered

Each year, we collect all money offered to the class in grants, work study and scholarships, regardless of whether the student plans to accept the offer or not.  We’ve extended the scholarship reporting deadline!  Submit your scholarship offer (indicate the schools, the total amount offered per school, and which school the student will attend) by the end of the day May 11th, so that you can be recognized through senior awards.  Questions - email:

Order Final Transcripts

The final piece of college admission is the final transcript.  While these will not be ready until late June, you cannot start school in the fall until your college has this final one.  Request your transcript soon by going to Parchment to order your Final Transcript.  It will be sent when they are ready.  From the LHS Website, select the drop down menu for “Parent/Student Resources,” then scroll down and click on “Transcript Request.”

When ordering a final transcript to be sent to your college, please be sure to select “Hold for Grades” instead of “Send Now”. Once final grades/credits have been processed in mid-June, those transcripts will be sent.  If you have any transcript related questions, please email
