Leander High School is accredited by the Texas Education Agency as a public school and includes grades 9-12 with a total enrollment of slightly more than 2,000 students.

•This school is located approximately 15 miles north of Austin, Texas, the state capital. It is near two- and four- year colleges and universities which include Austin Community College, Southwestern University, St. Edwards University, Concordia and the University of Texas.

•Traditionally, Leander High School served a more rural population. More recently, the area has experienced explosive growth due to expansion of high tech industries in the Austin area. Thus, the student population is changing rapidly.
